Ex- Doctor Accused of Sexual Assault Allegations Against 38 Patients

Legal authorities have announced that a former doctor now faces charges for carrying out sexual assaults involving 38 victims who were patients.

Details of the Serious Charges

Nathaniel Spencer from Birmingham has been charged with dozens of sexual offences – some of which involve acts against children younger than 13 – between 2017 and 2021.

A senior CPS official commented, “Our prosecutors have worked at length to support a thorough and intricate investigation, meticulously examining the evidence to determine that there is a strong case to proceed to trial and that it is in the interest of justice.”

Scope of the Investigation

These allegations come after what police called a “detailed inquiry” into reported assaults at medical facilities: a hospital in Stoke-on-Trent and a facility in Dudley.

The defendant will appear at the North Staffordshire justice centre on January 20th.

Breakdown of Charges

The charging documents said the forty-five charges he is charged with:

  • 15 counts of sexual assault.
  • Seventeen counts of assault by penetration.
  • 9 counts of sexual assault of a child under 13.
  • Three counts of penetrative assault on a child under thirteen.
  • 1 count of attempted penetrative assault.
